What is it, and what is it worth?

Photograph an object. Anntique names what it is likely to be, prices it against listings that are on sale right now, and shows you the reasoning behind every claim.

Including the part most tools leave out: what it could not see, and how that changes the answer.

How it works

Three steps, and you can check all three

  1. Photograph

    One to five photos. Everything embedded in them — including where the photo was taken — is stripped on your phone before anything is sent.

  2. Identify

    The object is named with a confidence level, alongside the marks that support it and the marks that are missing. If a photo would settle it, the app asks for that photo.

  3. Check

    Comparable listings with prices, the marketplace they came from, and the time they were retrieved. Open them and judge for yourself.

Honesty

Four answers, and one of them is “not enough to say”

A photograph cannot show a hallmark on the underside or a serial number on the back plate. When the evidence does not reach, the app says so instead of picking the likeliest-sounding name.

Exact match

The model or a unique identifier is visible in the photographs.

High-probability match

Strong evidence, but a confirming mark is not visible.

Similar item

The same family, not the same object. Never presented as a match, and priced as what it is.

Insufficient evidence

No model-level price is given. The app asks for another photo rather than guessing.

Price

A range, with the listings it came from

  • Comparable items are shown with their price, their marketplace, and the moment they were retrieved.
  • Items that merely resemble yours sit under their own heading — “similar, not the same item” — and are never mixed into the match.
  • Listings are on sale now, not settled sales. That is stated plainly, because it changes what the number means.
  • Where the app cannot search, it hands you the search: prepared queries for auction houses and marketplaces it does not read.

Privacy

Your photographs are processed, not collected

  • Location, camera data and every other embedded tag is stripped before a photograph leaves your phone.
  • Photographs are not kept on the server after the request that used them, and are not used to train models.
  • Your scan history stays on your device. There is no account and nothing to sign in to.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Nothing is shared with data brokers.
